Birth of the group

The canadian group has founded in 1995. At this time, they played different kind of covers from their favourite bands, as Metallica or Led Zeppelin. Nickelback recorded his first album, Curb, in 1996, just before the first drummer of the group, Brandon Kroeger, decided to leave. They found a second one, Mitch Guindon, but he just stayed with them until 1998. If the group had some issues to find a long-time drummer, they didn’t show it and worked a lot on their music. The group found plenty of support in the music industry and signed up with EMI and Roadrunner music in 1999. Nickelback released The States at this period and gained notoriety with the general public.
